If you really love the history of games:

The number of game rounds is equal to the number of pictures and when the game is over, the winner is the player or team with most points.
The game has been printed in a multilingual version with the spinner showing always two different letters. The player who spinned the spinner can always choose between them. In this way you are not forced to play with a letter that can be uncommon in your language, but very common in another one.
Kaleidos is a very simple party game that comes with a set of fully illustrated big pictures hiding hundreds of small objects. Each player (or team) receives a set of pictures and a picture holder. The pictures are numbered so the players play having in front of them always a similar picture. Spinning a spinner the players choose randomly a letter and the game starts flipping the sandglass. Now everybody tries to find as many objects hidden in the picture as possible, whose name begins with the letter chosen and secretly writes the names on a sheet of paper. The time limit is set by the sandglass. When the time's over, all the players reveal the objects they have found and score points. For every object found by nobody else, the player scores 5 points while objects found also by someone else are worth just 1 point.

After scoring the points on a scorepad, the players change the picture (following the number printed on them, so after picture n°1 everybody plays with picture n°2), than they spinn the spinner to choose a new letter and the next game round can begin.

Kaleidos has been distributed from 1995 to 2005 by Editrice Giochi.
In 2006 Editrice Giochi gave back to me all the rights on the game concept and thanks to this kindness the Kaleidosgames project became possible. A completely new and revised edition of the game, illustrated by Marianna Fulvi and Elena Prette packaged in smart tin box, has been printed in 2008 by French publishers Ystari and Cocktail Games and is now available in the shops.
