Logol is a word game played on a vertical grid. When you insert a tile it falls and can create a word using also the letters already placed inside the grid. Every time you insert a letter you can score points for the word created, but the new letter must be part of that word. What is nice in this game is the fact that the player see exactly the same grid, but mirrored. Sometime a word easy to be discovered by a player can be almost hidden for the other one. Words can be created connecting letters in all directions, but you can't use the same letter twice. Players have a time limit to insert the new letter, declare where the new word is located and score points. Word don't need to be read horizontally or vertically, but can be formed by letters connected one to each other in any direction,

The letters are printed on plastic tiles that can be easily stacked, forming three different piles, and it's really important to remember that every time you place a letter inside the grid you are not only creating a new word, but also adding a new letter that can be used by your opponent. When you choose a letter from a pile you don't know what's the letter under it, but you can see the two on top of the other piles. Sometime a "defensive" choice can be better than forming a long word but, as said, is not easy to "read" the grid in the same way of your opponent, because of the mirror image you have of it.
Logol has been published in the year 2000 by Editrice Giochi in a multilingual version. The game can be easily played in any language using the western alphabet.
