Wonderland is a very simple, party game set in the fantastic world of Lewis Carroll's "Alice in wonderland". It's a concept game designed in 2006 by Chiara Vercesi and Valentina Pastorino as their final exam for the Illustration Course at the Istituto Europeo di Design of Milan.

The theme of the exam was "playing with the senses" and designing a game was part of the project that involved different groups of students.

Chiara and Valentina chose the world of Alice as the inspiration source for a game in which the player must find a way out of the dream world where they are stuck. To win the game players need to prove their ability in using their senses to communicate with the other players. Depending on the square where they land on, they must draw, search, mime or solve riddles.
All the game situations are "introduced" by a different character and trace back to Alice's world. From the movers, in shape of cups and teapots, to the board that looks like a rounded labyrinth, everything remembers those dreamlike atmospheres.

The game presented for the exam is, of course, hand made, with large use of wooden pieces and luxury components, but it can easily transformed in a great product, with few changes and the translation of the playing cards.
